You’ll soon be able to find all the information related to registration and hotel reservations on our official ICOLD MÉXICO 2026 website. We’ll also be offering a letter of invitation to facilitate the visa process for your trip.
02 Visa
We suggest you consult with your embassy, consulate, or travel agency to learn about the specific requirements for entering Mexico. For more details on the visa process, please visit the official Mexican government website or contact the appropriate immigration authorities.
03 Language
The official language of Mexico is Spanish. However, English is spoken in many academic and tourism areas, so you won’t have any communication problems.
04 Climate
During the month of May, temperatures in Mexico range between 20°C and 30°C, with the possibility of rain in some regions. We recommend checking the weather forecast as the event approaches to prepare properly.
05 Currency
The official currency of Mexico is the Mexican Peso (MXN). Make sure you have enough cash or credit cards for your purchases and expenses during the event.
06 Electricity
In Mexico, the electrical supply is 127 Volts and 60 Hertz (cycles per second), and the plugs are types A and B. If you plan to use electronic equipment, we suggest bringing adapters if necessary.
